Interesting things I learned today:
"Rather than striving for superiority and feeling satisfaction when you have surpassed another person, seek a personal best."
"Dont just pull off the top of the weed. You have to get it out by the roots, or we'll be right back here next week pulling out the same weed."
A concept that I found interesting and confusing today was about criticism it says: "we call it "constructive criticism.: "oh, it's just meant to help the other person," you think. but if you know that any part of what you are saying could be damaging, it is better left unsaid.
I do this alot being in cosmetology school and girls that are just learning skills do things to me. for example we have nail classes and when someone is doing mine I am super picky because I want them to look good. So I tend to try and show them how to do it another way that may be easier. I think that I probably should try not to use constructive criticism so much.

Winter Wonderland!
These are our pictures from a project at school. We were told that we are "applying" for a job at a magazine. The magazine requires that you make a collage of ideas for the theme that they give you. You must have two outfits, show makeup ideas and hair. It was alot of fun! We went to Maceys and tried on clothes in the dressing room then brought them home and photoshoped the background so that it looked like we were in the snow!!! oh yeah and our theme is Winter Wonderland!

Salt Lake Weekends... indescribable!
This last weekend Jessica and I went to Salt Lake for a friends wedding. We had plenty of time after the wedding to get in some food, go to the Joseph Smith Movie and Play around with our cameras on temple square. It was amazing to see all the Christmas stuff being put up. Everywhere you turned there was a nativity set up.

Search, Study and Ponder
Today I read about how to be exactly obedient. A few things that stood out to me were: Doing exactly what the Lord asks will result in our comprehending the doctrines of eternity and realizing their ultimate benefit to us. Many people state that we are doing things with blind obedience like when Noah built the ark, or Nephi wrote two books because they didn't know where these things would lead to in the later times. It points out that this is not blind obedience but faith obedience. This also lead me to the though of emergency preparedness we were talking about it in church yesterday. We don't know if we will ever be the ones to need it or if we are being prepared so that we can help others. Like Nephi was preparing for when Martin Harris lost the pages of the manuscript. Lastly I will finish by adding what we have to do to have exact obedience not just the desire of exact obedience. We have to work hard to acheive it then we have to watch ourselves carefully to keep that level of faithfulness. Those things to help keep us at that level of faithfulness would be prayer, scripture study, temple worship, and serving others.
Real Girls R Not Afraid!
Today I finally REALLY cut a girls hair. Lately every girl that comes in would just like a trim here and there but today this girl came in and was brave. She was ready to take the plunge to create something new! I was just as excited and probably as nervous as she was. We trimmed her hair added some fabulous layers which helped it lay beautifully, and then we tapered her hair around her face. Lastly after it was all styled she decided to take the next step and add a fringe (Bangs). We created them and we both were celebrating and rejoicing on how lovely they turned out. I SOLD her on coming back to Dallas Roberts! She had previously gone to Bon Losee and Paul Mitchell! I was enthusiastic that I was able to help her make a GREAT decision.
It's Just the Beginning!
I will first start off by saying that I have no idea how to create a blog or anything about a blog. So you will have to bare with me through the tough times of figuring it all out. I Think things will turn out alright though.... well hopefully!
